It really depends on your dog. My scottish terrier had 8 the first time, but we were told that she would probably only have 4, so it's just whatever your dog does.

Poodles are not french, only the show clip is french, and she could have between 1 - 5 puppies, depending on when in her cycle she was bred, how many times.

It all depends on the dog. Also, the number of pups in the first litter is not a predictor of the number of pups in future litters. She could have 4 the first time and only one the next time.

at first only one or two then after it that maybe two or three at a time
