max is the name of my cat, I think you mean a Manx which is a tailess cat from the Isle of Man, however my cat Max is tailess also but through an accident which is how I came to rescue him and gave him the name Max missing out the N from manx because he is not from the Isla of Man

I think what you are refering to is a manx cat. This particular cat is a very sweet cat ( the one that I encountered).
It is destinguished by it's bobed tail and the hind legs that are somewhat longer than the front legs.
