I had the same feeling. After my first week, I went back to the optometrist so he could check to make sure everything was okay and he discovered that the size of the contact lenses was a little too big. Next size down, I never had that feeling again. They probably gave you a slightly too-big size, which I understand is common when you are first fitted. That's why they have you come back within a week or two for a check-up.

I tried to wear contacts and I couldn't stand that feeling! I stuck with it for an entire month before I gave up and went back to glasses. A lot of people say the feeling goes away, though.

I agree with the first poster, you might have them on inside out. If applying them the other way does not work, you might not be using enough liquid in them or they might not be the right fit. Damaged contacts will also feel that way. Go back to where you bought them and have the technician supervise you while you put them in.

That really depends on you I wore contacts in my eyes and I just couldn't never get used to them so I went back to glasses. I was uncomfortable all the time and I just got tired so I took them out. But once again it depends on the individual.

Make sure you dont have them inside out...the lense should look concave..if the edges are benging out then you are putting them in wrong..however a lot of lenses wont go in if you are trying to put them in the wrong way...it doesnt last though and you should get used to them in a bit...I wear contacts and I never feel them except should I get something in my eye.

they may not be right for your eyes. have you gone back for the dr to check how they are wearing? I started using a new brand in June and had the problem for a while. turns out they let a lot more oxygen into my eye and they just had to get used to it.

Are you sure they aren't in inside out?? I have had contacts for many years and the only time I feel them is when I have accidentally put them in wrong.
Good luck!!

Take it out and flip it over and see if that helps. If not let your doctor know.
