"Texas Sens. Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn voted for the fence bill. But they failed in their effort to amend the fence bill. They wanted to allow border communities to have some input in where fencing will be located and how much of it is erected in their areas.

Hutchison said she received a commitment from the Senate Majority Leader and the Speaker of the House promising to address the concerns when Congress returns from recess."

The problem is, there are localities fully willing to be 'sanctuaries' that will not want any fence in their area. It won't be because a fence is ineffective, but because they are opposed to having an effective fence. These cities create a hole in our border defense and are a concern for the entire country.

What do you think?

And do you think we should be asking Frist and Hastert to stick to the current bill and not modify it to include this requested amendment?

I think Hutchison/Pence is a joke, and they should be tossed out of office for fraudulently claiming to represent the People. Sanctuary cities are a violation of our existing immigration laws, and should be abolished. All 50 states need to have the same basic policy so as to have unity on the issue, or we'll fail to have effective change.

Those sanctuary cities need to have the National Guard come in and take over until they understand the laws of our land.

I bet you'd see a bunch of Pedro's and Maria's packing up and leaving town!
