why do people always assume that all illegal immigrants are on welfare, don't pay taxes etc?
illegal immigrants don't get welfare assistance.....you have to have your own valid social security number to receive welfare...they are illegal so obviously they wouldn't have one......(carlos mencia would say dee dee reee)
also, they do pay taxes, they get a ITIN which is a number issued by the IRS to people who can't get a social but work....
jeez people become educated about the facts before you spew your ignorance

Ummm..first off, I don't normally get involvedin matters like this because of the hatred that does not stop.
But, factually speaking, I know several farmers in my farm town that pay CASH to his workers, because they are here illegally. One town over, the population grows from 400 to 5,000 at the end of a season. then,when the harvesting is done, they all go back home, wherever that may be.
Illegal immigrants cannot pay taxes, have welfare, etc. LEGAL immigrants can pay taxes, get welfare and and work LEGALLY.

No one is saying that all immigrants are criminals, what they are saying is that there needs to be a way, where you can stop criminals to come in, you know what the percentage of inmates in los angeles are illegal? 40 pct.... that number is very revealing, my parents are immigrants and they understand that there is a big problem in our community. Have you ever been to a latino neighborhood? its ghetto. its not safe, why is that?....hmm, gangs maybe, but who do we blame the govt, if not the chicanos that started it. but what about in mexico, have you been to tijuana or mexico city? 3rd world criminal and poor, but what about those neighborhoods? who do we blame? the government. All we ever do is blame people, instead of saying the truth, we are the way we are because we choose to be like that. We live in the wealthiest country in the world, and we still cant get our act together. While other nationalities such as Persian, and Armenian flourish when they arrive, and create their own business, and create and maintain very safe neighborhoods, what do we do???????....blame everyone else. Look at our test scores??? they are very low, who do we blame the teachers. common people, if persians come here and succeed, why dont we?????????. what's the problem, in my opinion the problem is we dont take education highly, and until we do, we will see the same results, economically and socially. This is the wealthiest country in the world, you know how many people in this world would love to immigrate here? milllions and millions.......if they had a chance they would take full advantage of it. The problem is we dont!!!!!!!!!!, We want to have the easiest immigration laws in the world, but yet in Mexico they have some of the harshest. Immigrants dont have rights in Mexico, they get beaten and thrown in jail.....yet do we complain about that????? never. That is very sad and shows what are intentions are.

Although legalization would increase average tax payments by 77 percent, average costs would rise by 118 percent.

On average, illegal households pay more than $4,200 a year in all forms of federal taxes. Unfortunately, they impose costs of $6,950 per household.

Carolina, I am very pleased and glad to meet you. You have the same thought as I do. My opinion of WHY people do this is because (no offense) America is a country driven by the media. Big channels like CNN focus only on what gives them the most money and not actual facts. They only show the negative impact these people have on the country but they never will show you how the positive impacts tremendosly outweigh them. You know that the standard American watches hours of T.V. a day and this has a big influence on them. I know what I'm saying, since CNN in English will talk against illegal immigration but CNN in Spanish will talk good things about it. Something weird here?

did you all also know that when a Mexican is working for the same company you work they are allowed an extra week for travel when the go home to there toilet bowl country for a visit. alot of company's do this. they Dennie it when Americans ask, but they do it.

The reason our country and all countries limit how many poor immigrants can come is because EVEN IF THEY PAY ALL TAXES poor people pay little in taxes and don't cover their own costs in education and other services. The rest of us have to pay for them, and each one is a net loss. Multiply that by 11 to 20 million illegal immigrants and it is pretty easy to see why schools and health care are failing in areas where illegal immigrants concentrate.

Also, many use fake documents. Did you know that Georgia's medicaid rolls have dropped SO FAR by 70,000 since the requirement to check eligibility went into effect this summer?

In the UK most illegal immigrants work in the black or grey economy. They have little choice even as asylum seekers they are not allowed to work. Whether you are pro or anti on the immigrant issue surely, no one would expect them, after travelling thousands of miles and enduring many hardships, to curl up and die.
Okay at the end of the day they may be deported but while they are here give them the basic human respect that everyone deserves.
They are only trying to provide for themselves and there families. Wouldn't you?
