Once again we got some new blood in the boxing answers forum and I'd to hear what they got to say about this matchup I posed months back. Thanks!

Black Panther - Foreman and Liston did indeed spar, a few months before Foreman went to the Olympics in Mexico City in'68.

Wow what a short war this would be Brent! Both fighters have good jabs and tremendous power. I believe Foreman was probably the strongest heavyweight of all time and would get Liston on the ropes in the 7th round and would club him with punches until the referee steps in to halt the contest.

Both are KO artists
Both are great fighters.
Both were KO'ed by Ali.
The outcome in this bout is determined by Foreman with every else being equal. Foreman in a 10 rd KO.

Liston would have won hands down, Foreman
was a hard puncher, but could not last past
(5) five rounds. Liston was also a very hard
puncher who could last more than (5) rounds
You do the math.

liston by ko in 7, my favorite fighter of all-time was foreman but both in their primes george was a fighter weak on stamina, liston had an iron jaw the martin fight happened late in liston`s carreer and he was washed up, styles makes fights liston survives the onslaught and finishes off big george, think foreman lyle but liston more stamina.

Foreman in his prime would have beaten Liston into a pulp

i thought they fought back in the 60's in one of george's early fights? we need the ever reliable smitty w/his database info to confirm or deny that. i am reasonably sure foreman was at least a liston sparring partner(smitty?). anyways, they said liston could knock you out w/a shot to your elbow, he was that powerful! george left permament indentations in heavy bags because of his power. this one definitely ain't going the distance, as you said! since the apprentice usually outdoes the master, both inside and outside of the star wars universe, i'd have to give this one to george. he was bigger, badder, and learned a whole lot from his master...except how to beat that "scrawny little kid with the big, raging mouth!"(clay/ali)!

Foreman had the strength of a gorilla.if you seen what he did to smokin' joe then he will do the same to his mentor, Liston
