My cat(nutered male) had some bladder stone issues about six months ago, I took him to the vet, they got them out without surgery and gave me prescription food, recently he began having trouoble peeing again so I took him to the vet again, this time they couldnt squeeze them out. They sent some samples out to be tested and he is now home waiting the results. On the sheet which they break down what was done, they gave him antibiotics and Flocilin? WHat is Flocilin?

My cat (female, fixed) was diagnosed as having a bladder stone. I had had her on antibiotics for a long while and the condition kept returning. Finally, she underwent surgery to remove it and then went on another round of antibiotics. Since then she has been good but had what looked to me like a flare up last week and now she seems okay. In October she needs to have a check up. With my cat, the vet showed me a small white spot on an x-ray and that is what he removed. I believe Flocillin is an antibiotic.

I don't know what Flocilin is but I wonder if maybe and I hate to say this it might be becoming a diabetic cat. So be prepared if this is the case. I just put my cat down a month today. I hope that you can find out what is wrong with your cat. Just be nice to your cat. Your cat is probably in a lot of pain if he is still having problems with his bladder. I would also ask the vet if there is any spacial food you can put the cat on so that it doesn't get sick again. I think that one of my cats I had was on spacial cat food for having problems with it's bladder. Well Good Luck!

Flocilin is a drug used to treat bladder infections and make it more comfortable for the cat I think. The stones happen a lot in male cats.

flocillin is a penicillin type antibiotic, commonly used for urinary tract infections. The injection was most likely to get the antibiotics into his system quicker.
