In Microsoft Word when I press enter the text bar goes to the bottom of the page, instead of the next line. What's making it do this and how can I fix it.

Never Mind figured out the problem. Here's what was wrong: under file, then page setup, then layout tab, then verticle alignment. For some reason it was set on bottom instead of top.

Oh, boy... this sounds vaguely familiar, but darned if I can remember how we solved it.

Have you noodled around in the Settings area? Let us know what you've tried so far... maybe it'll trigger a memory for me. I know I had a similar problem, I just can't remember the details

Update: 1:43pm ...if you turn on the non-printing characters (so you can see paragraph marks, etc), do you have a lot of blank lines built into the document? Trying to find out if you have anything between the last typed character and the bottom of the page

Yaaay!! Glad you figured it out.

Maybe you somehow set the text size on the next line to like 72 or something?
