The previous answer is right in its description of the differences. Initially I went to epicurious,com to find a recipe for the two, but the tropical punch sounded pretty standard to me. So I went to minute maid, and here is the differences in their products.
Tropical punch:
PINEAPPLE AND ORANGE JUICES FROM CONCENTRATE, LESS THAN 1% OF: PASSIONFRUIT AND GRAPE JUICES FROM CONCENTRATE,
Fruit punch:
GRAPE AND PINEAPPLE JUICES FROM CONCENTRATE, LESS THAN 1% OF: PEAR AND APPLE JUICES FROM CONCENTRATE,

Depends on the company. Some tropical punches have mango, banana, pineapple, etc. Read the ingredients on the bottle. All punches are not equal.

Tropical punch is made with tropical fruits. Fruit punch is made with temperate fruits. I call fruit punch "temperate punch"

The difference is the fruit. Tropical fruits are pineapple, kiwi,mango, as oppposed to apples,oranges, grapes and domesticated

thats a good question I think tropical fruit punch has fruit that are grown in the tropics like passion fruit, guava, etc. and regular fruit punch has ingridents that are common to the states.

they always taste the same. the vendors say it is different but they ALMOST ALWAYS taste the same. its mostly the small vendors that make it different
