I think the straight bob is a very sophisticated, cute style. If you want ideas, go to beautyriot.com. They have all the lastest celebrity hairstyles.

Hi
I am hairdresser and willing to give you ideas. If one of my clients had medium lenghted hair and looking for a restyle, i would advise the new 'posh' bob!!
I have done at least 5 bobs in the last few days and they all looked FAB!!
Ask your hairdresser to talk you through it.
Whats good about it,is that you dont have to loose too much length at the front. If youv'e not seen the 'posh' bob (as its now called), it is cut shorter up to the hairline at the back and prominently angled down to the jaw line, creating a very slick, chic style. I would put alot of choppy layers in the hair also, but chopping into the ends and running my texturisers through it aswell to add movement and texture. Once blowdried and straightened for a chic, smooth look, i would mess the crown section up a bit by lifting the top layer to add a bit height and keep the front and sides really smooth and slightly turned under at front. If you have a fringe, you could get it cut so it sweeps to the side to frame your face and blend into the layers at the front. Posh Spice is in alot of magazines just now, so have a look and see what you think.
If you look at it and decide you don't want to lose much length, even the slightest trim with more choppy layers throughout really can change the look of your hair, maybe even a side swept fringe would soften around the front.
Hope these ideas helped.

I personally love the cropped look with an inch above shoulder length with sideswiped bangs (nose length). It's Sooo incredibly cute.

a messy bun

a fish tail braid

spiral curls

use curlers over night

defuse it

hmm, if you have bangs or shorter layers in front you could pin those back then have a pony tail or something, i think that's cute

try back brushing then putting your hair in a low bun or low pony tail

if you're looking for a new cut try getting side bangs, layers in front, and razored at the bottem (if your hair's straight)

Have you considered extensions....different styles and textures, I have wool dreads. The beauty is you can change the length, colour and style and you don't harm your own hair.

i have hair that's just past my shoulders, and here's what i do: after a shower (or even with dry hair) i take some light gel or mousse and scrunch my hair for gorgeous loose curls. then, i straighten my bangs, which are layered, and side-sweep them. it looks casual and sophisticated at the same time, and i get lots of compliments when i do it.
good luck!
