You could be using too many products! Are you checking for alcohol in the ingredients? Alcohol dries you hair. My daughter uses the hair treatments for Afro-American hair even though she isn't! Her hair was straight as a stick and as hard to curl as a stick when she was in school and now she has the frizzy curls! Go figure! Don't wash it so often either because you are washing the natural oils out.If you have time to leave it in put about 2-4 tablespoons(according to length and thickness) of mayonaise on and work it in well. Wrap plastic wrap around it and leave it for hours. Then wash it out and let it dry naturally. It will be pretty curls and will not be frizzy. Leave it that way for a couple of days and then you can straighten it before washing it. The hair will look healthier and will not be burned because the mayo and your natural oil have had time to restore your hair some. You need to get it trimmed by a professional. You are probably working on your hair too much and it needs to rest awhile and mend. Use the mayo once a month or so but use a good conditioner weekly or bi-weekly.Only straighten it when you have a special day so it will look nice all of the time.Trying to look like others will not work when your hair is different from thier's.Everyone has a different type of hair and mixture of hair. Just try not working on it too much or washing it too often. People overwash hair these days! It is much healthier to leave the natural oils in to keep it from getting frizzy. My hair has enough oil for 10 people and I wish it wouldn't be so oily.Believe me it is a mess also! Best wishes for a great hair year!!

here's what to do:
1. choose a milky-wax type of cream. make sure it's not gel, make sure it's not mousse. It should kinda look like a milky white cream, a little like how conditioner looks like. but the bottle should say its for defining hair or like curls or something. make sure when you put it on ur hair it wont make it look slicky and dirty looking the way gel does.
2. when your hair is wet, slather on about 1 tbspoon of the cream.
3. divide your hair up into 6 sections, 3 on each side of the ears. and then twirl it. the left side twirl all 3 clockwise, the right side twirl all 3 counterclockwise
4. then, wait for it to dry. DO NOT BLOW DRY!!! yes, it will take very long. like 3 hours. .. haha
5. Then, once it's dried, break up the curls. And then you will have very gorgeous giselle bunchendensen loose waves.
i have curly hair so it works for me!
good luck

Go for the new bob look. It's incredibly sleek and won't give off a super frizzy look. Even if your process has to stay, it won't take NEARLY as long with shorter hair. Plus switching straighteners might work. I reccomend ConAir's Ceramic 60-second heat up no-frizz straightener.

Sounds like you made need to cut it really short to get rid of all the dead stuff.
After that it will still be curly but use some gel to keep it from getting frizzy.
I have naturally cury hair (not quite as bad as yours sounds) and about once a year I cut it really short and start over
You don't like it the way it is so cutting it shouldn't be too hard

if you want your hair straight you could go and have it straighten permenantly, or you could by straightening shampoo and conditioner use the shampoo everyother day and the conditioner everyday. Go and get your hair cut, that will get rid of your hair being fried. then go and get a ceramic straightner, they don't burn your hair and it's one of the best purchases you will buy. When you buy the straightner though don't get cheap and by the cheapest one you can by. they're expensive but if you get a really good one with a good warenty it's totally worth it. a ceramic straightner also helps to get rid of frizz but still use a little anti frizz stuff, BUT NOT ALOT. i hope that helps.

You can get a deep conditioning treatment at just about any Salon for about 20$ & you should probably do that once a month and then there is always the Hot Oil treatments you can get and any grocery store and do at home. Good luck

My sister has the same problem. Start with a good cut, from a reputable salon (like an Aveda Concept Salon). They will hook you up with the great products as well, and show you how to style it.
