the religions evolved from one source, and will continue to evolve.
And if you agree with it, then could you imagine what the new religion/s will be like?

i remember reading a series of three books many years ago, western mythology', 'eastern mythology' and 'ancient mythology'. i can't remember the name of the author and a search on the web brought up too much information, but i remember how it showed linguistic and thematic links between the most diverse religions, stretching from Europe through Africa and Asia , the pacific islands on into north and south America. across the three books all of the worlds major religions are tied together and there does seem to be a common root deep in the past. i did manage to find an article in wikipedia showing how indo-european religions grew from a single source including hinduism and zorastrism.

i would disagree.

i would say that the big 3 evolved from each other. but many of the Pagan and indigenous religions have very defined separate sources.

15,000 years ago the Celts, the Native Americans and the African peoples had no contact with each other. however they all developed religions and spiritual beliefs.

and because no one else seems to be correcting this.

the Pentagram or Pentacle is Ancient was used long before the religions of Jesus or Abraham.

the points represent the 4 elements of earth, air, fire, and water with the fifth the one pointing up to represent the spirit. when a Satanist turns that point down it is to symbolical put earthly and material things above the spiritual beliefs of man.

how can a symbol that was around for thousands of years before Jesus become a symbol of his death. or is this the new campaign. first they try to destroy the ancient holidays by placing theirs over them and then they try to change the meaning of the ancient symbols to suit their needs.

If the Pentagram is supposed to symbolize the woulds of Jesus then we have the crown on the head the top point. the nails in the hands..and the feet,,,(he was not crucified spread eagle was he?)

so what about the spear wound in his side...seems to be missing.

Thats a good point you make, which is why my faith in Islam is so strong. You see, in Islam, we take all the previous Judaic and Christian messengers as prophets (Moses, Noah, Jesus (peace be upon them all), etc. AND MANY MORE). We also believe that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last prophet, the "seal of prophets". God revealed messages to mankind slowly and his message was the last one. In a short period of time, the Last Day will occur and we will all be judged (no priest or blessing can save you, except for your deeds and actions). Actually, in the Qur'an Allah says that there were many more prophets before Muhammad that came and went and that are simply not mentioned by name. This might explain why in Hindu scripture there are prophecies referring to a future prophet which match up suspiciously close to Muhammad's persona. Buddha himself preached a message that fits pretty well with Islam, thus some Muslims say its possible he was a messenger, but God only knows the truth to that. REMEMBER, I'm talking about what Buddha taught, not what Buddhists developed into a religion.

Actually your statement is truer than you think. They all took something away with them that they favored most at the tower of Babel when the tribes were separated and languages became diverse. Then they started adding things and professing that they were the true religion blessed by the one God which they of course named. Won't it be a site if the God they meet isn't the one they have been praying to? As the religions continue to divide and evolve they are becoming more violent. This I believe to be the fault of the Christian religion because of it's intolerance of others and insistence that they will save us all or we will go to hell. They intend to hurry that process. Keep in mind that religion including those of modern day are man made, proven by man made works.

I do not agree. How did Buddhism evolve from the same source as Christianity? There can be a million different religions on this planet. That does not mean that any one knows anything for sure. Any one who says that they do know for sure is either completely brainwashed or fooling themselves.

Agreed. As cultures evolved so did the religions they followed. And as societies today gain more knowledge of the past and Why we believe what we do, they will keep changing to fit that society. Of course, not everyone is going to believe all of the information, but they will adapt their personal beliefs to accept the new info they do believe.

The New religion, after everything calms down from the effects of the worldwide cataclysm, will be a balance of scientific and spiritual concepts. Using our mind and spirit to a greater extent of its potential.
Unfortunately, I feel Revelation is correct. In that after the time of peace, and man starts multiplying and stepping on each others toes again. Evil will return.

The three main religions of today- Christianity, Judaism, and Islam claim to have evolved from one teacher- Abraham. But, all religions didn't evolve from one source.

Oh, and by the way, the pentacle that you are using as your picture symbolizes the five wounds of Jesus when placed with the point pointing up. When it is pointing down it symbolizes the rejection of the holy trinity. So, right now, I believe that you are unintentionally promoting a religion you evidently dont care so much for.

God Bless

I don't quite agree with it because it doesn't fit historically with the development of religions / philosophies such as Hinduism and Buddism.

The similarities in most of the world's religions indicates to me that there is some sort of "universal moral code" that is ingrained into us as human beings.

I agree they all evolved from one source, Noah. The thing that is interesting is that they fall away, just as the Bible says they will, due to lack of direct revelation from God. This is not because God doesn't love everyone, it is because many are not willing to listen to God or His message.
Religions that don't stick close to God's message will continue to change and adapt.
