Be as nice as possible. I take the approach that if JWs or Mormons, or any other group has a message to share with me, and I am able to listen, it doesn't hurt to listen to them and understand what it is that they believe from them. Of course, if I am busy or can't speak with someone, I would always invite them to come back later. Being Christian doesn't mean following every message at your door, but it does mean being nice to them.

i'm no longer christian yet after reading the linked tale i will say that even i will see the mistakes of this declare. those human beings, at the same time as they'd be a minister and his spouse, are nonetheless only having a small crew of human beings over in certain cases and what they communicate in the time of that small crew assembly must be as a lot as them because it really is happening of their living house. i like the thoughts use of poker nights and tupperware activities to describe their position and my question at this factor will be how did the county come to question those human beings contained in the first position? Did a neighbour whinge about parking or what?

If I have time, I invite them in and be a good student. I ask questions of them and see
1. how they can reconcile the nature of God of the Bible with "Current LDS doctrine".
2. Can they reconcile salvation found in the Bible with what they teach
3. Can they reconcile the priesthood found in the bible with that in "Current LDS doctrine"

Not one of them has been able to answer these yet.

I am a ex-Mormon and those people are full of contradictions, because they spread lie and false doctrines, and that is why people react the way they do towards them,on the other hand I am now a born again christian who is a follower of our savior Jesus Christ, because the truth is those Mormons are deceiving their own self, because I love the people, but I hate and dislike their false doctrines.

Every Mormon missionary I have ever met has always been very polite and respectful. If you simply tell them that you respect their mission, but you are currently a happy member of _____church thank you for stopping. They will go on their way and bother you no further. Their mission is not to bother you or interrupt your day, it is to tell you of their church and belief. It isn't a crime, and you don't have to "hide" from them.

Yes some have.
We invited them in and offered them coffee and cakes and,
had a very interesting, highly informative, tense and friendly discussion.
They left less dedicated than when they arrived. They promissed to return, we promissed to prepare some Muslim litriture to offer them in return for the books they presented us but, unfortunatly, they never came back.

I never had Mormons come to my door, but they have stopped me on the street when I said hello while making eye contact on the sidewalk.

Be pleasant and ask them to show it to you in their bible.

Then take them to Acts of the apostles, and ask for a complete explanation, then ask them to explain Revelation.
They should be well on their way out the drive way by now.

They haven't in years.

But, if they did, I would invite them in for a cold beer and cup of coffee.

Just kidding. I would invite them in and have a nice visit before sending them on their way with a box of cookies or something.
