My understanding of the law is that you won't be arrested for attempting to buy it without a fake ID, but they can still arrest you for drinking it if you are caught, but you already knew that I'm sure. As long as you don't use a fake ID, I don't think you can get in trouble for trying.

No, you won't get arrested, unless there is some new law that I'm unaware of. They will just refuse to sell to you. However.......if you use a fake ID and get caught trying to buy beer with it, then you can be arrested, but not because you tried buying beer, but because you are in possession of a fake ID and tryin to pan yourself off as someone you are not. Also, don't try to get anyone else involved by asking them to buy it for you, as someone may turn you in for that. My advice is think twice, then think again after that!!

i work at a small indian store in florida, they do not sell to anyone at that store, but you will not go to jail for trying, if they sell to you and you both get caught. its worse for them, there cost is one year in jail plus 10.000 fine and possible loss of licence to sell. beer for me has caused many many problems in my life, why rush getting extra bullshit in your life you dont need. anyway i was 18 once, enjoy your life. be careful and responsible.

I really doubt you'll be arrested. And only turned away by the liquor store.
As a minor, if they sell it to you they are at fault.

well if you look like you could be 18, look mature and confident, it shouldn't be a problem! lol and don't go in with friends that look young.. Beer isn't as strong as spirits, so they shouldn't be too strict on the age aswell

Yes...it's just as illegal without a fake ID as it is with a fake ID. The fake ID is a totally separate crime in itself.
