It sounds like an Amazon to me, lexicon of parrots is a great place to look it up there are a lot of different colored Amazons I can't ever keep them straight.

(so very much cute) then it must be a parrot called "Aratinga canicularis", that is its scientific name. If it is not, I suggest you submit a picture of your parrot so that we can look for a better answer.
