What is the reason? You are skipping from doctor's notes to interviewing. Your employer has a job to do and if you can't be counted on to pull your weight then I'd say it's time to leave.

This varies from state to state. however, with unemployment, what I have learned is that the trick to to file under part-tine employment, as opposed to stating you were fired or quit. And hell no, under no circumstances do you mention to ur boss that ur interviewing and that's what causing you to be late. And to answer your original question, it depends on if your absences are occurring during a probationary period. If you are on probation and are constantly late, ur employer is not required to give a reason for terminating you. If you are not on probation there should be a level of reprimand, such as a verbal warning, written, then termination.

You cannot get unemployment if you resign or if you are fired for poor performance. If you were laid off, the employer has to provide documentation stating why you were laid off.

if you are a full time student then you can not claim unemployment even if you were working full time.
