in the area an environment that I live in almost everybody does it, the women are the worst.
if I just avoided everyone that did that I I would spend a lot of time home alone, which I don't mind that much.
but they know who and what I am, so they do try to control it.
but it does make a lot of them uncomfortable.
a friend at a thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago, suggested we all play a game.
she brought out a coffee can and called it a cuss can,
anytime someone said a bad word they had to put a penny in the cuss can.
it not only showed then how much of their vocabulary was cuss words, and some could not even talk.

Don't let them make you too clean to be around them,
Jesus went right into places where people were drinking and dancing, Remember Jesus turned the water into wine, Jesus danced at the wedding too. Oh, Jesus was even caught Laughing . What your feeling is the religious judgment.
Get free from it. Jesus died for all, he loves everyone, he wants to be with everyone, don't look at there sin, you use to have some too, its only covered by the blood.
So have some fun, kick up your hills, just don't do as they are doing, ask Jesus to help you. He will, as for you, let Jesus move in you, this is one reason he came into you. Hes the light in you,
not you. Let your light shine before men, get it.
Quit letting feelings get into it.
Its Faith, not judgment. Its Love not war.
Your Scripture for today is,
Greater is he that is in me then he that is in the World.
amen.
Peace I leave you,
Walk in the peace of God.
Jesus did everywhere he went,
Did he not say, Go into the highways and the byways, and compel them to come to the Lord?
Wow. That's a thought..

It depends on how well I know them and how they relate to my sphere of influence. I am a teacher and if I hear one of my students swearing or saying G.D. or saying Jesus Christ as an expletative, I tell them that I find it offensive. That they are offending my holy God, my Lord and Savior. I would not correct an acquaintance or someone I had just met. I would walk away. Most of my friends and family know not to swear around me anyway. When there are kids in a room and someone is swearing I will say something. I look at the longterm picture. I am not going to reprimand a stranger for swearing and risk totally alienating that person from future attempts at sharing the gospel with them.

I try to stay out of situations like that but if it's my family that's doing the drinking and cursing I stick around. I've never been a drinker or a curser so it dosen't really affect me. I give them Godly advice if they ask for it but I don't believe in shoving the Bible down their throats. I try to live as an example.

Show them in the bible where it says it is a sin to drink and curse...It actually doesn't. In fact the bible preaches to EAT, Drink and be Merry, unless you are a King. Then you may not drink. Cursing all it says is not to use the lords name in vain. That could be left open to interpretation. But really your job as a Christian is to turn the other cheek and respect them for who they are and not Judge, because Jesus wouldn't have.

I used to feel guilty that I may have caused it. Like in a conversation, and someone responds with a 4 letter word.
But as I have grown in the Lord Jesus, I now keep quiet. I don't respond to the issues. Even leave the area. Occasionally I reply with a [that's filthy, or is that necessary lady's are present.] Pray to be used of God in the best way, and not be a stumbling block to others.
Bless You.

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!
I used to think I was understanding, and I didn't hassle people, and let them learn in thier own time.
Then I studied the Way of the Warrior. And realized I was excuisng MYSELF, and being cowardly.
Nevertheless, talking to people when they are under the influence is a waste of time, and potentially dangerous. Better to talk to
someone after they sober up.

Depending on the circumstances. If I can excuse myself I do. If I am in a business situation and I have no say so as to how they speak of conduct their lives then I put in as little time as possable. If its my family and friends that cross the line then I tell them I don,t like that kind of speech. I rarely ever am around people who are drunk so that's not a problem for me.

you leave. You should to wait until a person is "in their right mind" (not under the influence or anger etc) because

1. that is what is best for you,
2. It encourages them to get sober or anger under control
3. It doesn't make you look desperate
4. They can think clearer and honestly it's not gonna do much good to say anything but a one-liner when they're in that state.

I ask them what they are drinking and if it sounds good then I will have one too. As far as the cursing, most men dont curse too much in front of me and other ladies. Its hard to tell them to stop though, because my husband and his friends are gold miners. and they have to live up to their reputations.
