I'm a Taurus. We've just recently started dating but he seems to be the jealous and possessive type. Those are his only two bad traits because otherwise he seems to be a really nice guy.

It does not matter what sign he is. For whatever reason, he is possesive and is not likely to change. Hes afraid that he will lose you, and eventually just being the way he is will drive you away from him. Your best bet is to find someone that isn't possesive, which, as simple as it sounds, its very tough to break up with someone. But trust me, the possesiveness will only get worse as time goes on.
