It burns me up to say it, but my daughter had a teacher in 5th grade who did panty checks on her! And when I complained to the school and told them I could call the police on them for it, they started calling social services for every little thing my daughter told them about my parenting! All charges against me were dropped.
That's one reason why I homeschooled her after that.
What a girl wears under her pants is her business and nobody else's.

no. it is not the teacher's responsability to make sure the child is wearing underpants; and if they do so, it should be an invasion of privacy.
it IS the parent's responsability.
and if a parent buys the kid a thong, why expect them not to wear it? they got it for a reason, did they not? In my view, this is totally up to the parent of the child.
Moreover, a thong is something that is worn to prevent unwanted panty lines in tight clothing. Perhaps that is the real culprit,.
It is not what the child wears that makes them a child, but their body and brain. Parents should weigh this when they buy clothes. children do not have a total realization of the meaning of wearing a thong. they just think that it's "cool" and may feel "wicked".
What really matters is if the parent understands how their child will be perceived, if the child is mature enough to handle a bad situation, and what morals they have instilled into the child. Because a child is a reflection of the parents, no matter who their parents may be.

no, teachers shouldnt be alloed to do checks, if some clothing is too sexy for a school dance then it will be obvius without the checkup.
yes students should be allowed to wear whatever they want as long as they dont go against the moral. thongs sticking out might be forbidden though

well, this from a smoker....exposing others to your underwear is wrong, much as i like to see thongs, it offends some people the same way smoking bothers some people. teachers should be allowed to check for certain things, guns, knives etc....checking for a thong...NO! if the thong doesnt show, who would know but the girl....east enuf i think, use a little common sense.
