A good lover is one who is in tune to your preferences/needs/emotional side, one that you don't have to tell your preferences on ANY subject to MORE than once. For example, your lover says he likes his coffee a certain way- how do you ALWAYS fix it? - Just like he likes it -- he never has to tell you again. The reverse should be true - you tell him ANYTHING more than once and he doesn't be mindful of it - he will be an unconcerned, self-absorbed, selfish lover. (He still can be a nice guy on other things - but believe me, they won't outweigh this in the long run!- BEEN THERE- DONE THAT!)

I think the answer is pretty much the same whether looking at the platonic or the physical side of love: the little things
Those little marks of attention that let us know your lover cares and thinks you're the best person in the entire world.
Or those ways we tease and excite each other so we can't help keeping it going for hours and hours
