I saw a great room on a decorating show yesterday in several shades of blue and lime green...it was stunning. Get a small can of the blue that matches your desk and a gallon of white and have them mix a small amount of the blue into the white so you will have a landlord acceptable blue that will be the same color as your desk but just much lighter in value. Even this small change in the room's present color will make a big impact. Then you can go wild with the royal blue and bright green accents so the room won't seem too pastel. You could even use the leftover darker blue to paint a graphic stripe along one wall. It wouldn't be too hard to cover up such a small area when you move.

Blue & green go great together. Painted walls become the background of the room. You can take your comforter or a pillow sham to the store (even Walmart) and they can match the paint for you. If you want calm and serene, add some chocolate accessories. If you want "kind of preppy"...add purple, pink or yellow accessories. 70% - 1st color, 20%- 2nd color and 10% 3rd- color, will give you a nice balance.

Try a shade of khaki, like one called shortbread by Sherwin Williams. It is neutral and light but will give your room a warm feeling that will highlight your other colors nicely. Then get some baskets for storage in the same color family as the walls.

The ultimate preppy resort style is the Lily Pulitzer combo - pink and green, but it depends on the kind of green your comforter is. Seafoam green is a cool blue green that's close to the color my monitor makes, and it might work.

I would go to the hardware store and get some paint chips (those cardboard color "swatches") in a couple of colors and hold them up to your comforter. Pick the one you like best.

Paint the wall where your bed goes a very light green and the rest of the walls a very light blue. Then use white as your accent color.

Go to Home Depot, flip through their book called "Faux Finishes" in the paint department. It will show you how to do rag rolled painting which looks really cool and allows you to use more than one color. You can work in some blues and greens together and it will look sharp. Give it w a whirl, you'll surprise yourself.

Paint the walls either a soft pink or yellow. To make everything blend in buy throw pillows and accesories with all three colors. i think the pink would be very cute with blue and green.

i thnk that you should paint the colors which are close to your personality. and which you love of these colors . try to find matching colors such as :
- bright green with some touches of white or dark yellow.
- blue with some touches of pink or red or vice versa.
like this you can match 3 colors with their degrees and don't use more than 3 colors so that your eye gets comfortable you can enter the color black between them that it give them some charming.

A pale lemon yellow would look nice, and you can acquire some matching accessories to complete your color scheme ( pastel blues, greens, yellows).

a buttery yellow.. a room with yellows, blues and greens is refreshing and clean looking and gives a somewhat French County look to your room. You will love your new room !
Good Luck
