Don't go in for diet pills. Diet pills are widely advertised as a quick method to lose weight. These are food supplements and are not regulated by the FDA or any authority. They have severe side effects. Some weight loss pills may help you lose weight for a short time, but after a month or so, the body becomes immune to them I found information on weight loss pills and their side effects at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlosspill.html

1. I would consult your physician before venturing into any diet plan. No two bodies are alike.
2. Have a full work up and discuss with your physician the diet you are proposing and if it is a healthy path for you to take.
3. If you physician approves, or recommends an OTC Chinese dietary supplement, that does not interfere with any other medications you may be taking, try that.
4. Remember, herbs are drugs, also. When you add a new foreign substance to your body, you are changing chemistry, which may or may not cause a reaction.
5. Play it safe, and consult your physician first.
Best of Luck and Warm Regards.
