why do people have a problem with muslim women covering. Muslim women don't ask why your not, we already know why your not muslim. Muslim women are not oppressed and the ones that are is not practicing islam correctly, muslim women chose to cover because we chose to obey Allaah it is not our husband. covering is apart of being a muslim women. Also something Allaah has said to do.

There is nothing wrong with it. We, as Ameicans, have oppressed women for years. And we think there is something wrong with anyone who is different. What we must understand is that we are NOT the only way to live. So wear your veil proudly: it makes you special. Good luck!

Nothing...i think it's actually a good idea!! At least then you don't look like a hoe like some people out in the world!! I really can't stand seeing too much flesh, even though we were born naked...at least have respect when you're older!! So me, as a non-muslim, think it's a really good idea when you cover up!! I just don't like that fact that you also cover your heads...I know it says that you have to, but Arabic women are pretty, I don't think they should hide their faces!! I'd wear those robe thingys that you wear, even if I'm not Muslim!! I actually wish Christianity had a dress code like Islam and Judaism!!

Its just hard to understand for some people that someone feel the need to cover themselves up in 2006 for religious reasons. It does lead to alot of problems in society in general, that's my opinion anyway, like in school and at the post office and so on, when it's impossible to identify who's under the Hijab(full body coverage, and a net over the eyes). Can someone take final exams without identify themselves for example?
But I dont see any problems in wearing a traditional headpiece, like a scarf or whatnot. I have respect for other peoples believes, and non-Muslims shouldn't deny Muslims the right to dress correctly after the Koran, if that's what they feel for. But as I were saying; Hijabs is just lunatic:-S

there is nothing wrong in covering it just they dont understand what is the reasion why muslim women cover if they come to know if they get the information then i think they wil also start covering them self

why christians never ask themselfs why nuns in the churches wear cover to head and wear good cloths
they just try to insult islam by any way they try each time to invent new reason against islam but whatever moslimes will be moslimes forever

As long as the woman isn't being forced to do so, I have absolutely no problem with it. I think it's lovely that so many women are willing to have such an outward expression of their faith.

Women should not be covered up because they are PEOPLE like the rest of us. I wouldn't want to spend my life looking like I'm hiding from the rest of the world and bowing down to Allah. That's ridiculous. What is the point in hiding away when there is a whole great person under all those coverings who should express themselves?

Please don't feel alone, there are Christian sects in which the women cover also. The Amish, Mennonites, some Quakers cover their heads to remind them to pray always. Also, Catholic women cover their heads in the chapel.
