Isis is the "divine mother" of ancient Egypt. She was known as the great goddess of magic and "universal nature," As "Virgin of the World," Isis birthed Horus, the Egyptian god of the sun and moon, day and night. Metaphorically speaking, Isis is the celestial mother of the Sun (son) of god. It was her son, Horus, who eventually killed Typhon, the Egyptian devil. And, according to legend, Isis–mother of all–remains eternally virgin. She is often portrayed "as the virgin with child," Presently, Roman Catholicism holds Mary to be eternally virgin, just as Isis was. Too many similitudes between Isis and Virgin Mary...

If people would research history, as I have notice that you, do they would find many startling similarities.
Virgin births, sacrificed Gods, are 2 perfect examples.

All these religious things basically represent the same concepts
spiritually. It's just that things have to be explained according
to the day and age, and level of the cultures understanding.
The feminine aspect of the Lifeforce coming from God and
the masculine returning to God. Therefore the feminine is
a passive force, and the masculine aggressive. We are to try and balance these two aspects within ourselves.
Try the Serenity prayer, very much synchronistic, if you
know what that means.
Synchronicity, Carl Jung, not Sting.

Yeah many religions and beliefs of the world have many similarities, its my theory that many of the older religions all originated from one single source. It was passed down through the ages and took different names to accommodate people with different customs. So its no surprise that Isis and Mary are portrayed in similar light.

Yet another example of the FACT that xtianity is an ancient pagan religion in new clothes. My favorite correlation is Eve's apple and Pandora's box. Either way..."woman" let evil loose in the world. How about Osiris hanging on a tree for mankind...long before jesus.
Heaven, hell, salvation, baptism, eucharist, a dying god-made flesh, ressurrection, virgin births and many more "xtian" theologies were around for thousands of years before even Judaism. Xtianity just remade what was availible and added in the excellent recruitment strategies we see today.

Christianity is just a mish mash of other beliefs, rituals, and rules taken from many other religions. The story of Noah, is just a re worked version of the story of Gilgamesh, and the list goes on.

In ancient Babylon and Israel, she was called Ashtaroth. It's the old mother/child worship cult, same as Tammuz and her son, Ishtar (from whence we get Easter) and on and on. God punished Israel for it. It is idolatry. It makes one wonder about the RCC, doesn't it?
Good question.

Given the thousands of fanciful stories of pagan "gods" and "goddesses", it is hardly surprising that a few features of one such story amight be loosely similar to the actual facts involving a real person and the true God. I'd be extremely surprised if you couldn't find such coincidental similarities somewhere.
