Read a lot of English/American authors in the original version, listen to English radio stations (where the presenters are actually English or American), listen to music.
I learnt a lot of English just by following my favourite band from my early teens and poring over the lyrics.

A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of online courses which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

SERIOUSLY the best way is to actually just read.

Yes! read anything you find interesting & do it regularly enough and your written english and your reading will improve first, followed of course with your spoken english, which i see may also need to have some 'crap' taken out of it

Well, you should get an American boyfriend. The British speak funny, snobby, homosexual sounding English. They don't know how to treat a woman and when you make a mistake, instead of gently correcting you, they ridicule you and tell you your English is crap. Goron is a moron.

Anyway, you should also be careful to choose a nice American guy, with a neutral accent, probably a white guy. White guys are the best boyfriends. Stay away from the blacks.

The Italians have a rather crude saying to the effect that the best way to learn a foreign tongue is to put one's tongue into the foreign mouth. This means that the best way to learn any language is to keep close, intimate company with someone who speaks it as a mother tongue. However, I would qualify that. Make sure that your chosen companion speaks English properly!

If this suggestion is not practicable, try www.rosettastone.com, which is supposed to be an excellent way to study.

read lots, and talk alot with your english friends. (talk as in using voices, not just typing) also, if you don't live in america, then come over and start talking to native speakers. and, just my advice, but don't use words like crap, or any kinda swear words, until youv mastered the pronunciation and fluency of english.
