Sin to waste energy, and pollute the planet even more by leaving appliances on standby, shouldn't people move their a ss to the TV, and switch it off before going to bed at night?

I know lots of people who have their computers on 24/7..and I'm wondering just what they think they would be missing if they didn't do that...and that's a real waste of energy.

Some people sleep with the tv or radio on. Some like music while they sleep, others like talk radio while they sleep.

I heard that as long as appliances are plugged in (whether turned on or not) that electricity still flows to the appliance.

Seems to me we've all just taken advantage of what we have, and are too busy to think about saving energy. Do you think the computer that's coming out soon that is 100 times faster than the computers we have now will make a difference in less electricity being used?

It's amazing to me that 3 people thought you really were talking about sin and spirituality...haha

It's a sin to waste electricity? Where do you get that??

Any way, this is a good reason to build more nuclear power plants and stop burning fossil fuel. Oh, wait... The libs don't want that, either. Never mind.
