My Dad goes overseas next Tueday through the first half of Nov (he works for an oil company). He said it's too long for me to go with him and I would be not be happy because of the country he is going to teenage girls arent treated well. He told me to pick a friend to stay with so I chose my friend Tamara's and they said OK
I don't have a Mom anymore so Dad is all I have and all of our relatives live too far away or cant take care of me. We live in Texas now and while her family is very nice they very Christian and strict. Her Mom does not like that I backtalk and dress revealingly or whatever and deserve to "get it". Would have any of them have the right to actually spank me? my Dad does not believe in that but he gave her Mom, not Dad, permission to as last resort.
I'm worried. Dad told me to just deal with it and if I behave I have nothing to worry about and if I don't I will get grounded for a long time when he gets home and that's what I should worry about. What should I do?

just follow thier rules, try too at least, you can suck up to them for a little over a month. Im sure the parents arent home all the time eithrer, they must have work or other hobbies they do. so maybe you wont see much of them at all. But respect them and thier family rules. you dont want to get kicked out or spanked, (thats embarassing, being spanked when your a teen lol) sorry. but you dad is right just behave for the mean time and things will be fine. =) trynot to wear revealing clothes around them band dont talk back. its their house and they're nice enough to let you stay with them for a while. Just respect them and their rules, simple as that. good luck

Rise above it and take it as a learning experience. You know what the consequences will be if you rebel against their household. Give them respect and don't be judgmental whether you agree with their belief system or not. You made the choice by asking to stay with them.
Your life will be your own to manage soon enough. At your age every day may seem like an eternity but that will change as you get older. This is only six or seven weeks.
Count your blessings, you have a roof over your head, food in your belly and clothes on your back. This must be a great comfort to your Dad. It cannot be easy for him having lost his wife. Make your Dad proud. So just chill and don't provoke your caregivers. The choice is yours as to how easy or hard this situation will be.

Well, you chose the family, so I guess you have to live with the consequences of your choice. What happens to your friend Tamara when she misbehaves? If she gets spanked, you can probably expect the same. But after all, it's only six weeks, so try to be on your best behaviour for that time. If you can't - well, you may be sitting down a little cautiously now and then. But hell, there are far worse things than getting spanked.

Try to see it this way... You said yourself that you chose this family over others... so while in their home, show respect and gratitude. Don't talk back, pitch in [willingly] with chores, dress in more appropriate clothing for you age. (I think you will have plenty of time to be provocative when you are an adult...)
By law... no one has the right to lay a hand on you... not even your father. Giving her a "last resort" option was not his best idea, but then, if she lays her hands on you , the law is on your side! As your father says... if you behave yourself and try to follow the rules, you should have nothing to worry about.

try to behave yourself when he is away. respect your fathers wishes while he is gone.he will be so proud of you upon his return when he finds out you were a good girl. if you dont like where you have stayed then pick another place the next time . i lost my father this month and would love to make him proud of me just one more time. hang in there. make him proud. try hard now

you should not be spanked, you know that. but do try to hold out and hang on, for in the end you will come out clean, and someday you're gona be proud that you did. about your mom and your dad, its a very sad story, but do listen to your dad, as he is the only one you have. until you're on your own, i suggest you not wear the clothes that they don't want you to. it's your right, and you've been miserably treated. but do listen to the voice of conscience, and don't do anything stupid. who knows who you'll turn out to be in a couple of years?

well girl..take all easy..u r in safe hands..with ur freinds family & ofcourse u a teasuer of ur dad that they hav to take care of ....so plz be cool & good..its just matter of few days..enjoy learning this new fanily for a while ..share their experiences..& make ur dad proud..when ur pals family says ur daughter is just too good...
