I figured out that I am allergic to milk because I get some of the symptoms like abdominal pain, dioreahea, watery eyes, sneezing, chest pain, ect. Other dairy products like yogurt and cheese don't affect me. What would be a good type/brand of milk to get?

OK, first... it's really important: are you ALLERGIC to milk or LACTOSE INTOLERANT.

If you are allergic to milk... don't drink the Lactaid Milk some people are recommending. It is regular cow milk with an added enzyme to break down "Lactose" (the sugar in milk that people who are lactose intolerant can not digest and causes them to be sick). Soy milk is fine to drink if you're allergic. No dairy... it's just called "milk". Other options are rice milk, almond milk... there are a lot of milk substitutes out there- you'd be surprised!

Good luck.

That is what it is for mostly. Soy milk is for allergies and people who think it is wrong to "torture" a cow for it's milk. Lactaid is good also. My mother drinks it. It is a little more expensive, but it taste better than soy, Much better.

yes. They actually make a product called lactaid. WORKS!!! If you are lactose intollerant take that. If you cant drink mile then you will probably have problems with many dairy products. SOY milk is actually really good, they have flavors as well. Good luck

soy milk was originally developed for those who were allergic to cows milk.
by an American missionary doctor in china 40-50 yrs ago.
you can use it for anything you would use milk for, but beware, the flavor may take getting used to.
also, consider talking with your doctor, there are products now available to help the lactose intolerant.

You might not be allergic to milk, but you could just be lactose intolerant, and you could drink soy milk, but its a big taste difference, its kind of sour!!

If yoghurt and cheese dont affect you, I doubt you have an allergy to cows milk as these contain cows milk.
Only way to know is to have food alllergy testing.
Soy milk can be drunk if you are allergic to cows milk.

Yes...soy milk and rice milk have no dairy in them.

Don't drink it if you are allergic to soy though.

Soy milk is harmless and has nothing to do with cow milk, as far as I know.
