No. I do not follow any religion and I am extremely happy. In fact, since I dropped religion my happiness had increased a hundred fold. I still follow my own idea of morals but the feedom from the overbearing, dismal and constricting Christianity is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I feel like such a better person now.

Well, as an atheist, I'd like to say no - there are plenty of people who are happy without all the baggage that theism brings. However, I do not deny that Religion does make some people happy - People who are happy to think that they are going to go to heaven and people they don't like are going to burn and suffer for ever
Speaking personally, though, I'm a bit of a Slartibartfast!

Yes ,you need religion to guide you in the correct path.

I'm happy because I'm a Christian.

Otherwise I would have been miserable.

Jesus loves you!

Absolutely not - indeed religion should make you unhappy as you spend your time in fear of eternal hell and with the unsettling notion you are constantly being watched (by God, the holy host and all your dead relatives) - even when you are on the toilet or making out. Moreover, don't aim to be happy - quite a vacuous desire really - those who aim to be productive and useful find happiness as a by-product. Oh by definition, full-time holy joes and sky-pilots are not productive or useful!

Personally no. Religion prevents me from being happy. There are way too many religious people determined to make me miserable in fact.

I have been raised to believe that if religion was, indeed, happy then the world would be a happier place. As it is, and will remain, religion often leads to humanity losing its humanitarism. I'm glad to be Super Human and, as such, divine.....

I don't need religion.. I do need God. Christ has forgiven me for breaking Gods laws. And yes I am very joyful...happiness is a human emotion that we can choose or not...joy on the other hand comes from God...
