This world is a DRAMA of exactly 5000 years and has been repeating itself since unknown times. Present show started about 4900 years back.There was no religion or concept of GOD for the first 2500 years and all the people were gods(deities), but due to downward trend of values,we remembered ONE GOD( being a source of all goodness) .During the next 2400 years (up-till now) there has been a rise of different religions but the values have been going down according to world -drama-plan. ,when HE( Supreme soul) himself comes and change this world from hell to heaven. things that are innate are not concepts ...they are needed for survival. If we turn the planet over to evolutionist..we are toast...thankfully God will step in! People of Mesopotamia looked to the sky and started to wonder where the lighting came from, where the wind came from.
They then made up idols depicting the powers through god's, this lead to the start of paganism.
Baal-hamad was known as the strom god and was wrote about in mtyhical stories.
This storm god got into fights, such as the fight with Yam-Nahr.
The first god's where Aspu (god of river) His wife Tiamat (godess of salty seas) and Mummu, know as the Womb of Chaos.
Consequently a succession of other gods emerged from them in a process know as emanation, this was in the years of 2000 bce - about 1800 bce.
All sorts of god's started to appear that ruled a certain portion of the sciencetific nature of the earth, which at the time of was called supernatural, and was not understood.
Finally a god came around about this same time 1900 bce called MARDUK he was said by the Babylonians to be the maker of Humanity.
Marduk was not alone, other god's watched and marveled as he made his creation.
In the years of about 1850 bce, the God of Abraham was seen, this was after the god's of Mesopotamia in the years of 2000bce.
200 years after paganism the God of the Hebrews was being seen alot more then later years.
This was the God that talked to Abaraham, and imgered out of the regions of Canaan.
The hebrew God was seen as early as the year 4000 bce, but was not instilled in Canaan intill 1200 bce, after the time Moses Brought the inslaved Isrealities out of the land of Egypt.
The God of Canaan was infact not as mythical as the God's of the sky and of the Babyloians, those God's waged wars against each other in mythical stories.
The GOD of the hebrews had no other enemies god's, and had no wifes or anything else mythical at this time.
At the time of Elijah in somewhere between 800-200bce Baal the God of the storms was proven to be wrong, when 4000 people stood before the alter of Baal waiting for Baal to do something with the sacrafice that they had placed on the alter.
Nothing happened.
Then these 4000 people began cutting themselves and crying out to Baal but nothing came.
The real God saw what was taking place, because at this time he was still seeing if his creation was going to work out.
Then elijah called out to the name of God, and fire consumed the offering.
