Don't know about cats, I'm sure they're just as affectionate.
Now dogs on the other hand are always there if you take care of them. If you just show a little attention it goes a long way with them. They'll wag their tail, lick your face and just sit by while you talk to them about anything. Sometime it looks like they understand what your going through and for some reason you feel better. Take care of them and they'll take care of you.

It's been proven that people who have pets live longer on average and usually have less health problems than our non-pet owning counterparts. Animals provide companionship, unconditional love, an ear to listen without being judgemental, and a shoulder to cry on if we need to. My male cat (big mama's boy that he is), will jump at me and meow his head off if my voice is raised....he's my little stress monitor. He also jumps on me and cuddles with me when I'm crying. The mere act of petting a dog or cat has been shown to reduce blood pressure and stress levels.
Just chalk it up to God giving us some really good friends:)

Because pets only know how to love us. They don't care if we forget to feed them or get home late one day. We could learn so much from our pets. Just love each other, don't judge each other! Our world would be a happier place! Pets also relax us, they have a calming presence, there have been studies that petting a cat or dog can lower your blood pressure!

bcuz they're soooo cute cat's and dogs so it's like they're cuteness makes the ppl happy. cat's and dogs know when their owner(s) are sad.
