It's been said that Korean-Americans are one of the most religious ethnic groups in America and I've also noticed it personally based on classmates and friends in California. Not only are they almost always Christian, which would be rather easy to explain, but they seem to be, in general, much more "into it" than almost any other "group" i know. Why is this? there must be some logical reason for it (such as something in Korean-American history).

I understand how this could be answered based completely on spirituality, but I'd also like answers with scientific insight.
For example, many modern Christians believe in Creationism but also believe evolution has and is, changing our world.
So the best answer would probably be something that utilizes both.

It's really simple. It's just one form of having to meet Korean people of community in America. I am sure some of them are really faithful ones, but most of them are not there because they are religious or such. Some of the kids go there as since there's no choice of going or not. Some people go there because that's one of the way to familiarize with people for business purpose. Also early days in America, Church has been one form of way for minorities to get together as well as accepted by US society without any significant interruption or observation for assembly.

technically, we are actually not a christian u . s . a .. particular, it is in print. it is lots of the concern. Our government is consistently pushing for non secular freedom for each guy or woman, thereby removing christianity as a primary rigidity. as a result, faculties can't help christian prayer if the government is saying that one and all religions are equivalent. to allow christian prayer could be to additionally enable a similar for all non secular communities and that would desire to intervene with the importance of coaching our young ones. extra desirable to have their families and their church homes grant that practise, become autonomous from the conventional public college gadget.

The Korean nation was blessed by a powerful outpouring of God's Spirit resulting in spiritual renewal of that nation,
Many who have emigrated here have carried that renewal and His Spirit within their hearts.
A great man of God, Yonggi Cho, in Seoul, Korea guides the largest Holy Spirit Filled Christian congregation in the world.(Yoido Full Gospel Church). His Charismatic leadership has influenced the entire nation. Good leaders instill great ideas and motivation in those willing to make full use of them. Many Korean Americans are those who come here carrying that great spiritual heritage with them.

It is because we go with what is most virtuous to us. We are taught that way. We are taught to do the right thing for both ourselves and others. Religion is important because it is literally, "what we live by." and it should be for others as well. There aren't any boundaries between people and the things they do. It's really the thought that counts. Really, you can go out there and do as well as we do! Everyone's equal! This is common sense, for goodness sake. Knowing the right thing and ignoring it is far worse than doing it without knowing the right thing.

Anyong Haseyo,
Well, they might label themselves as christians but they have seen alot of buddhism in their culture and it became part of their family life.
Just because they say they are christian doesn't mean several other paths don't influence them.

In many countries people are more aware of the blessing that God has given us. Americans tend to take things for granted. Look into the voice of the martyrs.

It is simple, Korean children are taught discipline and respect. Most of the world, including the US, aren't taught those principles.
