I assumed you meant a hot dish - there are also recipes for cold salads.
1/2 medium cabbage, shredded into 1 1/2-inch pieces
8 ounces egg noodles, cooked until just tender, drained and rinsed in cold water
3 cups 2% low-fat milk
1/4 cup butter
3 cups ham, diced (1/2")
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
Preheat oven tp 350F degrees.
In a saucepan warm the milk until it just starts to bubble around the edge of the pan.
remove from heat (watch your milk that it doesn't scorch on the bottom).
In a skillet, melt butter, saute the cabbage until tender, about 5 minutes.
Butter a 3 quart oven proof dish, in even layers add 1/2 of the cooked noodles, then 1/2 of the cabbage then add the ham.
Top with remaning cabbage and then the noodles.
In a bowl beat the scalded milk with the eggs and caraway seeds.
Pour over the cabbage/noodles.
Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until a knife comes out clean when inserted.
Serve.

THIS IS THE REAL BEST AND THE EASIEST
1/2 cup butter
1 large onion, peeled and cut in strips
1 small head of cabbage, cut into strips or 1/2 large head of cabbage, cut into strips
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (10 ounce) bag of large egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 pint sour cream
Melt the butter in a large pan or pot, large enough to hold the chopped cabbage.
Sauté the cabbage and the onion in the butter until glossy and tender.
Add the salt, pepper.
Cover and let the cabbage mixture cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.
Add cooked drained egg noodles and mix.
Serve with bowl of sour cream.
Add salt to taste.
Note: 1 lb. of cooked ground beef OR 1 lb. of thinly sliced smoked Hungarian sausage can be placed on top of the noodles and the cabbage.
try it out
