Aren't kids FUN! I lOVE spending time with the little ones! :)
When my son was 2, I took him to church as usual with his 4 year old and 8 year old sisters. This church was our home church for years and I recently had gotten divorced so I was nervous there about how people looked at me but I wanted to hold my head high.
So I took the kids to the front of the church for the service and we managed to be in the middle of a long aisle.
All went fine until my son started wiggling and moving and I gave him toys and cheerios and he started throwing them at people. This all started during the sermon.
Finally, finally, I could handle it no more and had to get him out of the church. I just couldnt' get him to settle down. He was probably feeling my nervousness. I dunno.

I stood up and picked him up in my arms and started down the aisle of seated people. Then he started SCREAMING "HELP ME SOMEBODY SHE IS GONNA KILL ME!!" I just almost ran down that long aisle to the back door. :( I was so mortified. The congregation cracked up and it interrupted the sermon. :(
I never abused my kids. At the worst he would have been put in the nursery and that was that.
Later, the pastor told me that was one of the funniest things that had happened there and for years he managed to use the incident in his sermon.
My son is now 6'4" and do you think I'll ever let him forget this? No way!!! lol It sure is funnier now than it was at the time!!

My 5-year-old was playing pretend. She came and told me she had a new boyfriend and they were going to share a locker. She returned later and said they had broken up and she needed her own locker. A little later she returned and announced they made up and she needed to get back into his locker. Finally she came back and said they were getting married but he would not let her sleep in the bed tonight and she had nowhere to sleep. I told her to go tell him to let her have a place to sleep and stop being mean. To which she replied, "Yeah, or else I'll break up with him and take half his stuff! It's in the locker."

Note that she did not get this from me :-) She and her little girlfriends all get together on the playground and talk about the boys..who is nice, who is the cutest... Scary!
