Use ice to numb the area, then using a sterile needle gently peel the skin back until the splinter is exposed. Use sterile tweezers to gently remove the splinter and finally use a small amount of antibiotic ointment on the area to prevent infection and cover with a bandaid.

I'm more than happy to help out, being that I'm a doctor. The easiest and safest way to get that darn thing out is to sqeeze it out. Put your toe in a vice, and tighten down real hard. You should start to see the splinter. Get a pair of needlenose pliers. Pull that piece of lumber out. Go see a doctor, pronto. By now, your toe is in need of some serious medical attention. Hoped that helped you out. Have a good day!

Ouch. If it was me. I would insist on being anaethetised and let the doctor remove it. That I know is very very sore. Hope you get it out soon before it festers.
