If it is a new behavior you may want to take the cat to the vet. Maybe there is something wrong with him.

Otherwise, I would say to spray something that repels the cat on the bed.

Unless there is a medical condition involved, cats generally deficate in inappropriate places to express their displeasure with something. Is there some behaviour your son exhibits which annoys or angers the cat, such as chasing it around the house or overstimulating the animal in any way? If so, discontinuing this behaviour may solve the problem. Your cat could also be telling your son that he wants more attention from him.

Cats are generally not arbitrary animals. They do have reasons for their bad behaviours, even if most humans do not always recognize the signs. Watch the interaction between your cat and your son and see if any patterns emerge. That should lead you to a solution for the problem.

This is the best question I have ever read. Thank you sooo much for sharing the imagery.

1. Tape your cat's butthole shut.
2. If you're more of an animal lover...maybe try a pet psychologist...if you cant find one, send me $100.00 and I will help you sort through your cat's feelings as a kitten that may have led up to this errant behavior.
3. Move your son's pillow to the cats litter box.
4. Put the cat in the basement for a month or so....

:) wheee fun question!

I found feeding the cat it's poop when he doesn't use his litter tray works.
She doesn't like it but, if you leave it to stave long enough it will eat it's own poop.
Took me 6 months to train my cat this way. One good thing it saved on the Cat Food bill for 6 months.

Keep the door to your sons room shut so the cat get in the room. That should do the trick.

1... keep the door closed for a few days to see if he does it some where else... 2... How old is he? and is he fixrd? sometimes an un-fixed cat will do strange things... 3... It's health??... is the poop runny or strange looking... sometimes when they are sick they will do strange things to get your attention...

Oh... and one more thing... our cat pooped on my husband pillow and he didn't know it... when he laid down and thought what's that smell and it was all in his hair... OMG...I laughed my $%$%^ off... Good Luck!!!

rub it's nose in the poop and put the cat outside(if possible).
you can put some vinegar on the spot before you wash it and if the cat poops (or pees) on the cushon you can put baking soda on the spot, let it set for a while than wipe off with a wet rag.

You probably need to get rid of your son's bed. The cat has marked it now and it's hard to get them to stop. Ok can't get rid of the bed, keep the door closed all the time. Admonish the cat to use the litter box by putting him/her in it every so often.
