Usually, they do not understand that they are committing a serious crime by resisting, Some resist arrest because they are drunk and cannot think clearly. Others are ready to fight anyone who tries to give them order. All show disrespect for society's law

Because they are not very bright individuals.
If the man with the gun tells me to turn around and put my hands behind my back, I'm doing it. Doesn't matter if I'm innocent or not, doesn't matter if he is being rude or obnoxious, or downright mean, doesn't matter if the arrest is valid or legal. He's got the gun, and a lot of friends with guns.
Also they don't want to go to jail, but I'd rather go to jail healthy than go to jail beat up.
"Do what the nice Policeman says, and everything will be alright!"

doesn't it depend on the way one is arrested or if there's a valid reason? Policemen, whilst doing a necessary and often thankless task are not infallible or beyond abuse. If one resists arrest violently then sanctions should be in order. however, in some countries cops believe that they ARE the law.

Well, would you like to go to jail? Not saying that these people shouldn't be arrested but the thought of sitting jail is not too appealing to many.

The same reason some school children throw a tantrum when they are caught doing something wrong.
They are not concerned about the person they just hurt or stole from, they are only concerned that they were caught. So they fight it.

Because they know they are going down for a long time.
Because they feel they are innocent and being badly treated.
Because they hate cops.
Could be any reason, how about you clarify your question with an example of exactly what you are talking about

The number one answer to this, and almost any other question about "why someone breaks the law", is alcohol, plain and simple.

Because if the police are wrong, it's your duty to resist. There are rules and they have to abide by them. Once we let them break the rules with no consequence, we're lost.
