Because they can be a treat to society

Resisting arrest means refusing to go. Has nothing to do with hurting anyone. Can the police resort to violence on a non compliant person who is not doing anything? What if they can not give you a satisfactory reason for why they are arresting you.

What if you did nothing to attract attention, you are stopped and the police won't tell you why? If they get pushy, can you still trust their motives? You people need to start thinking for yourselves.

Because if you resist arrest it means that you are trying to harm the police officer or get away from him. We had a man who resisted arrest here 2 days ago and he shot two police officers, killing one, and shot a K-9 dog. So if these people will shot or harm an officer what makes you think that if they get into your home or workplace, you are going to survive.

Yes, I am concerned when someone resists arrest.

What do you mean why should society be concerned. If you are resisting arrest you have probably done something criminal which could adversely affect the rest of society if you are left free.

We need not be concerned about people who resist arrest because police have the authority to enforce any means necessary to get them to submit, even kill them.
