Wow. It could honestly be any number of things. It could be a peanut allergy (they can develop after a period of time, so you may not know until she's eaten it a few times). It could be a viral, bacterial, or fungal infection. She could have eczema. It could be a heat rash or irritation to something she's come into contact with. It could even be bug bites! I recommend an oatmeal bath until you can get her into the doctor. Please do not put any sort of creams on it until you know for sure what it is. Hydrocortisone cream (usually prescribed for bug bites, eczema, etc.) can actually exacerbate a fungal infection. Because it is so unknown right now and she doesn't seem to have any other symptoms, I'd leave it alone until it can be evaluated. If she develops any breathing problems (possible allergy), call 911 ASAP. If it worsens dramatically or spreads to her face/head, I'd take her to the ER. I have little ones also, so I feel for you. Good luck!!

This rash could be anything. It could be something she ate, something she got into, a reaction to a spider bite, flea bites from an animal, etc.
It could also be a simple rash called roseaola (not too sure of the spelling and nothing on the spell check looks right either.)
If you call the pediatrician, the office has to have someone on call. There's no such thing as no one's available until Monday...call the office, have the oncall doctor call you back and go from there. If you can't get hold of anyone then if I were you, I would go to the ER just to be on the safe side. Better to be safe than sorry.

Where is the rash located? Has she been bitten by something? Is it spreading? There are still alot of questions that need to be answered. The rash could be a number of things. You might want take your child to the ER just to be on the safe side to see what it is.

If there is no fever then it is an allergic reaction but if she has a fever it could be a virus. My daughter has roseola but the rash broke out after 3 days of a fever.Try caladryl lotion for the rash and benadryl liquid for children and see if that clears it up.Good luck.

Dont rule out measles. To be honest if the rash is all over there must be somewhere you can take her to be seen? An out of hours doctor or a&e? I wouldn't mess around with rashes and try to diagnose it yourself. Get your daughter seen to.

try giving her a bath with 1/4 or 1/2 cup vinegar in the water (apple cider vinegar), it is very good for skin, maybe it will help clear it up.

Listen, she COULD be having an alergic reaction, that could culminate in a breathing constriction.
Seriously, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM NOW.
Don't think....just do it. It sucks, but its your daughter.
Go now.
