My bf does not have very high confidence (or self-esteem) of himself. He always talks about how bad he is as a bf, and how he always screws something up. I don't see any flaws in our relationship, and I really like him! How can I show him or tell him how good of a bf he is and how he doesn't screw stuff up?!

He may be the type who needs constant validation and reassurance. Usually females are that way instead of guys. I used to be that type of girl, but I'm finally in a relationship where I don't have to worry as much. Maybe he is lacking self esteem because he feels like he isn't a a good place in his life. Does he like his job? Is comfortable where he lives? Figure out what is making him feel this way and try to offer solutions about how to fix his problems. Keep being supportive. He may be clinically depressed- if you think he is suicidal or is too upset he may need anti depressants. Good Luck!

There's different ways at looking at this. He may be completely sincere and telling you that he thinks he is a bad boyfriend. Or, maybe he's pointing out that you complain too much, and is showing you the net result (namely him being a bad boyfriend). It may be that he actually feels sexually inadequate because you don't have multiple orgasms like women do in porn flicks. Who knows, it could be anything. It could be that he is trying to give you a reason to break up with him. I don't know anything about your relationship so this is all speculation. But, if the problem is as straightforward as you say it is, you can just point out that he is not abusive or a cheater or anything like that.

The 1st thing you do is B I T C H slap the wimp. Then just tell him how it is and then tell him to get up off his knees and be a man and not weak a$$ cry boy. Go get yourself a real man girl preferably an Irishman or become a dominatrix and take total control of him because I think that is what he wants.

Compliment him when he does something special or if he looks good that day. Don't say it just to build his confidence he will know the difference. Give him a card telling him how much you love him and how much you appreciate what he does for you.

Just keep reassuring him,,,how much you care about him...and what a great boyfriend he is. Some people just cant take a compliment no matter what you say. He has to find it within himself to change the way he thinks about himself. But like i said just keep reassuring him there is nothing wrong with him and you love him the way he is.

Find out what he likes to do, and see if you two can take a class in it. Take him rock-climbing or something along those lines to build his self-confidence. But for the most part there is nothing you can do for his self-confidence, he has to build it himself.

tell him the things he does right everyone has there flaws or they wouldnt be human. you just need to tell him how good looking he is, how much you love him but be careful you don't want to make him have a big head!

On date , let him take the lead or let him win. It's an old trick that still works. Let him take charge and just stand back and don't mention any of his mistakes on that one special date. or whatever you choose to do.

Life is very short. You are going with a wrong guy. You have to accept him like he is. If you can't move on.
