"New immigration policy goes into effect in Houston jail

Currently, anyone booked for minor crimes at the city jail can post bond and leave. But under a new policy, those suspected of being in the U.S. illegally will be fingerprinted and held for federal immigration officials.

The Harris County Jail already follows such a policy.

"Here at the city jail, we haven't had people from ICE and we haven't asked specific questions and it makes a whole lot of sense that we mirror what the county does," said Hans Marticiuc with the Houston Police officers' union."

Losing that young father of five was a real emotional blow to all of America...especially to those who were close to him.

When it hits home, things change....

So, whatever pro-illegal, bleeding heart has been in charge until now....the plug was pulled on your cause.

If not for the illegal being here, that officer would be with his family today.

I'm glad that Hans has better sense than some...too many preach the fairy tale world and conveniently forget that the real world has absolute consequences.

I've noticed that

pseudo obscure

posts about the same thing on all his answers. Typical illegal rhetoric....lots of meaningless words.

Get a life, pseudo obscure....the give-away world as you know it, is

I think they should be turned over to immigration officials and deported. However if an illegal commits a major crime, he should be put in our prisons and executed because if he is deported to his home country he might get away with the crime. By keeping him in our prisons and executing him , we are treating him as an equal, as not executing him would be descriminating against him.
