I also think it will happen. It will be more who convert and more who hate Islam. There are many Westerners who convert, I think one of the reasons is the frustration of the little morals the West offer people these days.
I myself am an atheist, but if I believed in God and all that I would have chosen Islam too.
Think how wonderful to walk in a city without seeing posters of degrading women selling their looks and sex in underwear commercials. Or even worse in America with all the porn conventions and crap. I would love to live in a more decent part of the world. Islam is not a bad religion for women, I am a woman. I see the sexist and discriminating West as MUCH worse to women. Date-rapes, dress like sl*ts, spend time and effort only on beauty, be judged by beauty, hired for beauty.
Being a stripper, model, actress, singer, pornstar, glamour model has become acceptable and is worshipped. While it does NOTHING but sell women for their looks = Their only worth.
Sex = Their only power. Make men lust for them, tempt them, the only power women will have over men. And they degrade themselves even, by giving men what they want every day. Free looks. And so on. I just don't see it any better.
Personally I'd love to just throw on a hijab, stay simple and clean and not to worry about getting mens attention or not. Don't be fooled to think a man will ever respect a whore, they just want to use them too.
Sh*t happens everywhere only in different forms.
There have and will always be fundamentalists in every religion.

Islam is a beautiful religion-----------a good religion. All most people seem to know about it is what the media tells us about the radical terrorists who have made the religion what THEY want it to be. The mews media (and people's rumors) work on sensationalism.
AND, Fundamental Muslims are not the same as radicals Muslims. Fundamental only means they follow a stricter line of the religion. You find this in all religions. Radical Muslims are the idiots who have made up their own version of the religion. I wish I could get people to understand the difference.

women and men human beings have equivalent fee, yet not equivalent everyday jobs. The rights to be dealt with and judged nicely are easily equivalent. yet women human beings positioned on extra clothing and men would desire to attend Mosque and lead prayer. it is nicely a heavier burden. women human beings do not would desire to. we are made in a distinctive way, so we behave in a distinctive way. it is all. And the lady saying you may marry a one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old... i'm not gonna worry analyzing something. It started with a lie. a woman has to CONSENT a marriage. somewhat one can't.

the quran is indeed a scripture worthy of study and full of insight..Muslim faith when it is practiced by the quran is a faith that has inspired many adherents..and enlightened numerous people..however some sects that claim allegiance to the rites of this scripture..pervert its message to meet and define their own objectives...Muslim world domination at any cost..the destruction and decimation of all other faiths creeds and religions..and extreme intolerance to many principles and rights of people from another and or different faith creed or religion..for instance in Egypt non Muslims are required to pay a tax, and not doing so has grievous consequence ..for another the ability and God and or Goddess given right for women to empower themselves, express themselves..dress as they wish.create, destroy as they will so..be equals surpass even if they have the mettle, knowing and power to do as such...not much talk of empowered women within that faith..even less actualization within its creed...whats up with that...insecurity or fear...in time the women within that faith will tire of that bondage...and seek less restrictive spiritual paths....don't see or hear much of female Muslim saints..martyrs..revolutionarys..artists...writers..journalists..news women..i realize their are exceptions..but in regard to the number of individuals in that faith...the number of acclaimed and empowered women is scarce indeed...

Religions all teach what they believe is truth. Followers are attracted to what they believe is truth. But what attracts someone to truth is inside that person before they read the bible or the quran. Seekers are seeking answers to questions that they already know the answer to. When then find it in religion, they folllow that religion . when they find it in science . they follow that science . when they find it in nature . they follow that nature. We are all seeking what we already know and and it doesnt matter where we find it, what matters is that we find it.

You need to take the advice of your friend. That is avoid ill-informed judgments (your opinion about Islam) and should first learn and then speak.

Sorry my friend, but I still have to disagree with any religion that can condone violence and even death to 'infidels' and non-believers. Fundamental Islam cannot be right in the eyes of my God.....................
