Can a cat that has not yet had a litter of kittens nurse?

not sure if that would work...perhaps if cat in question were pregnant. Milk would surely not come in in time to save litter from starvation. Vets have formula and bottles. My mother used to raise nursing kittens with an eye dropper and a formula of cream and honey. Mixing in tuna water sometimes. Good luck

Probably not - no milk. Something funny - my two cats got

into heat and they both had a litter of kittens (about a month

apart.) I didn't even know they were old enough to be in heat.

Usually not since they don't have the need to produce milk.

I've raised many kittens using a pet bottle and kitten replacement milk from the pet store.

Just make sure someone stimutlates their behinds after feedings.

Yeah, but your going to have to open up the cats nipples firsts. use a sharp pin to poke some holes in them for the milk to flow. You might have to sqeeze them a little too to get the siphoning action going. Good luck with the kittens.

they can but they do not have any milk to give to kittens so it is a wasted effort ..DO NOT DO WHAT THAT IDIOT SAID AND POKE HOLES IN THE CATS NIPPLES that would end up with you taking an infected cat to the vet"s and might have to be put down hope this helps i have 4 cats
