I lost my best friend, due to a big argument that we had last week. I'm a female and he's a male, and we've been really close for a year now. We've gotten into several arguments and said that we'd just call off the friendship(so childish), but after a couple of days, we'd be back together again. But, not this time. After we got off the phone, he sent me a text message that said to leave him alone. I love him to death and there's nothing that I wouldn't do for him. It's been a week and 2 days today. We've seen eachother out in public twice, and didn't even speak. I thought we were making progress because on Tuesday he sent a text asking how I was doing, but, he never responded when I wrote back and asked how he was. I even sent him a heart felt e-mail on Sunday. What steps can I take to get this stubborn friend of mine back. Life seems so hard without him, because I'm use to him being around 24/7. Do you think that he's really gone, or is it just something that needs time?

hmmmm...it seems more than a friendship to me.but i shall not touch on that. let time heal the matter.maybe the arguments that u had on the phone had really hurt him a lot and he doesn't expect that from you at all? some guys are very affectionate. He sent you a text because he still cares about you as much as he is still mad at you.For the time being get used to the idea that he is not with you or get your friends to help you. Perhaps you can try calling him or drop by his place and talk thinghs out with him.Put your differences aside. If you have been bestfriends for a year i suggest both of you should take matters more maturedly.

I really hope you will get him back as he seems to be a very good friend. All the best and i'm sure he will come around. :)

Me and my female best friend stopped talking because we decided we just grew apart our senior year in highschool....it was lame and cheesy but we really just agreed to stop hangin out and do our own things....we were glued at the hip throughout jr high and highschool.....anyway....once we grew up and realized the importance of real friends we put our differences aside and we are still great close friends to this day. Depending on your age you may just be growing up and having differences.....when your grown you realize their are not to many people out there that you can really call your tru friend. B smart, don't mess up blessings over a dumb argument. you never know when your last day is.

If u really love and miss him then u absolutely HAVE to let him know. Maybe u need to make the next step into improving your friendship with him. No friendship deserves this kind of neglect. Patch things up!

I also lost my bestfriend ( Since 4th grade, I am now a senior ) due, to a silly arguement, well not so silly.

She just decided to ditch me with someone that was completely drunk, and I was unable, at the time, to drive. And the drunk person was the driver.

I could have stabbed her.

But once I cut someone off it's over, very sad to say,but he could be this way too.

I think he may just need time. Life is too short to fight about things that really don't matter. Make sure you let him know how you are truely feeling. It sounds like it could be more than friendship.
