Maybe she is hurt. Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't there.

We had a stray come to live when I was growing up and you couldn't touch her anywhere but her head.

Maybe she's been injured on a particular area of that side

depends...is this something that just started? if so maybe she has pain there if this is something that she has always done she just doesnt want to be touched there
