Here is a simple experiment. If you have a cat, kill it and see how many times it comes back. If it comes back 8 times, then yes, they have nine lives. If it comes back seven or less times, at least you have your answer. Proceed to go cat shopping.

One life only like rest of living creatures. Nine lives could probably mean " nine genetical life styles within livelihood, something to do with nature."

May be cause its a Little bit difficult for a cat to die by falling from a height than any other animal cause they always //landed// with their feet ... and not with their heads or...
