I don't believe in witches. The witchcraft trials were an awful miscarriage of justice, good sense and common human decency, sparked by superstitious fears. The Inquisitions were Hell on Earth, and all the worse because it was done in the name of Christianity. Adolph Hitler was no worse of a monster than those people.

i might purely understand a real Wiccan if i actually spoke to them. I haven't any concept what we are *meant* to look like. i've got considered us defined as all - Goths fat and pimply Hippies and different the two ridiculous issues that i only can't think of of real now. I, like many others, look extraordinarily everyday. On an wide-unfold day i'm wearing tee blouse/sweater, denims, ballet residences, chucks.. i'm everyday weight, have everyday hair, I rigidity a Maxima (no bumper stickers)... i haven't any tattoos, nevertheless it quite is truthfully because of the fact my husband has matters with such issues otherwise I probable would not be waiting to declare that. i'm obscenely everyday.

The witch trials was a horrible mass hysteric mistake in my opinion. Most women and men that were killed was innocent and those that had done something had most commonly tried to help and heal people. No one should have to go through anything like that.

+ I don't think they think of themselves as witches but as naturalists. They should be treated as any-other religious group as long as they don't harm others. The trials were based on information obtained through torture and that is now known to be unreliable. Can you imagine walking down a street and being arrested because a bird flew by or landed somewhere? Same thing.

No.

That was an influence of Catholic teachings.

That is why the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit), destroyed all religious persecution by using the British. In doing so he the Holy Spirit even destroyed all remnants of the trees used in the hangings.

The Holy Spirit also sentenced most the persecutors to death, by hanging according to British law and regulation.

Also the Holy Spirit made sure that most of villages involved in the murder, were burnt to ground.

Divine justice has it odd form of irony.

There were no witches in Salem in 1692. Read the book "Entertaining Satan" it explains the sociological scene around the trials and other early new england witch trials.

No at least I dont. The people killed in the witch trials were mainly people that other people had grudges against.

Wicca is really only about 50 years old. It is a guess at the rituals and beliefs of ancient Pagans. It is not an old tradition, as those traditions did not survive.

The bible actually does not speak against witches. It speaks against poisoners in the Jewish community.

Catching witches was another money making scam so as to promote Christianity, and nothing more than that,
