How could you forget your service number? Mine was drilled into my head in boot camp. My company commander said I would never forget it and he was right. ...and that was over 40-years ago.

Aren't the new service numbers the same as your social security number? Go to your nearest Social Security office.

In response to damndog, My pops still remembers his, and he was in when they changed to SS number as well. But still can spit out his first serial # and he retired in 72 LOL

have it imprinted in my memory from day one at MCRD Paris Island 1968 and also recal ser.N* to my M14 please don't put any legit N* on here take this question off ok why would you want your Military id stolen and its duplicate DD214 not wise
