What's keeping developers and publishers from releasing a knockout (pun intended) boxing game for the PC that could become an instant classic, for lack of competitors' boxing games?

hi Bruce

You may note that there actually aren't many boxing games *period*.

Well, we both know it's not an issue of ability; in fact, maybe ability is the whole point! I mean, at least a shooter game can have a fairly extensive map, but with a boxing game, you've got nothing but *the ring* (ha..but isn't a boxing 'ring' more square than circular?) and basically only *one opponent* who will spend the majority of the time roughly arms-length away from you (in first-person perspective, anyway). There's really not much a game developer can do with that and still make a serious boxing game, so I think they'd just sooner make other games that they can actually pack with content, thinking "more is better"...or at least, more content Sells better.

Well it could be the fact that to make a good game you would need an amazing video card, and not many people have those, except for people that are die hard pc players.
