Maybe he's just teasing you and doesn't know it hurts you. Tell him you dislike it and start refering to him as old dude. Or maybe he's a jerk. Or maybe you are overly sensitive.

The answer really depends at least partly on your age. Once you are of a certain age, the time you alocate for him is up to you. He will need to be polite, and kind just like anyone else. Otherwise, you can say that you are busy. Regardless of you age it makes sense to tell him that you don't like to be called baby, and you would prefer to be called by your name. Perhaps he feels he is just teasing, but he needs to understand that the teasing is hurtful. If there is any element of sexual engagement in his comments then you need to find a mental health counselor to help you.

I am assuming you are a teenager here...
Its tough for a father to accept that his daughter is turning into a grown up..or maybe you need to take up responsibilities and be more understanding.
Whatever the case is, just have a talk with your dad and clear things!
Good luck!

The fact that you come here to ask a question that you should be asking your dad pretty much proves his assertion. You are immature also known as being a baby.

He probably grew up hearing the same things and doesn't realize that he is doing the same thing to you.Tell him how you feel, it will help even if it just makes you feel better.

Put yourself in his shoes...
I do not know if this is the best place to get advice either, try talking to him directly.

Nothing is wrong with that. It’s the perspective you choose to look at.
